CoFounding and building SilverEngine

My last 9 years I have returned to the experience of small organisations through the company SilverEngine (www.silverengine.de) which my partner and myself founded in Munich. We have built a company without external investor with 20+ Employees. Of course we had to solve new challenges like financing the company or facing sudden changes in our customer base with the need for fast restructuring of our company. But the advantages we have through the efficient decision-making process is overwhelming! And the open and transparent communication together with our talented colleagues have created a company culture supporting the decision process efficiently.
For 2 years ago we decided to prepare the company for a new generation of managing directors. For my own life planning I also wanted to turn my focus more into the strategic support of SilverEngine as one of the two major shareholders together with my Co-Founder. Beside this I also wanted to spend more energy on other fascinating strategic questions: Why did so many of the Visions and Standardisation approaches in the telecom industry not materialize into market successes? What decided the market success of some Visions? And what can we learn for the next years strategic questions.
